While it may be the perfect combination, there are always a couple of things we have to take into consideration when enjoying a cigar while on the course. First of all, and most important, be considerate of your fellow team players. Make sure the smoke will not bother them, if you, you can always ride solo or better yet, invite them to have one. You know what they say, the more the merrier! It is also considered bad form to leave ashes or cigar nubs on the green. Not only will it damage the green, but it can affect the game of the players coming behind you. Keep in mind ashes are best relegated to the fringe or an ashtray. When it comes to putting a cigar out, the most respectable thing to do is to either let the cigar go out on its own.
When it comes to your turn to play, always leave your cigar in the cigar holder. You can get a cigar holder for your bag or one for your cart, whichever if your favorite.
You'll never go wrong while enjoying a good cigar with good friends at the golf course. Remember, it's all about a little competition and above all, having fun!
